Roleplaying Notes
(according to Forgotten Realms campaign setting):

Naming a Drow:

Only Drow nobles and such of high rank have surnames! If you choose to wear the name of a known Drow house then you will be expected to RP a noble of that house, too. Please see the name generator page if you want to put together a name. See the language page for common Drow names and known house names.

Where are you from?

On the Drow language page is a list of known Drow towns. Of course you may come from an unknown town as well. Use the name generator page to put together a name in that case.

How did you get here?

Drow do not originate from Sosaria (the planet the comic takes place at). They come from Faerûn and travelled willingly or per accident through plane gates to Sosaria. Plane gates (also called "Black gates") that lead to the shadow plane exist throughout the lower parts of the Underdark in form of natural passages - often a cave simply runs out in the shadow plane and one passes without noticing. In Sosaria all known static gates were destroyed. Powerfull mages can summon temporary two-way gates however and one-way gates still appear for short times throughout the dungeons and caverns. See the pictire below for some more info.

What starting conditions do you have?

You speak Common and Drow, sometimes only Drow. If you are noble then you must have been in Tier Breche (drow academy) and learned there for a set amount of time.

(unsure, will correct once I get exsact info)
Warrior: from age of 25, 10 years duration
Wizard: from age of 30, 25 years duration
Priestess: from age of 45, 50 years duration

The different magic system might confuse you, as well as also the lack of your innate abilities and for a Drow most noticable the lack of gods.

And you have a reason why you are here - but that one is up to you.
